Day 1 (November 22, 2009) 

Dad, Cameron, and Calvin picked up car. Cameron removed gas tank, rear shocks, sill plates, fuel pump, interior, emergency brake, some brake lines, trunk light, and various hardware. Dad cut down a 9" rear end housing and started fabricating a back brace.

Day 2 (November 23, 2009) 

Dad worked on rear.

Day 3 (November 24, 2009) 

Picked up doors, hood, trunk, windshield, and hardware for car.

Day 4 (November 25, 2009) 

Dad cleaned rear.

Moved car into barn. Wet hand-brushed purple paint looks great!

Calvin disassembled doors and took convertible top body anchors off.

Dad made 1 1/2" x 3" x 0.115 WT x 48 7/8" cross member.

Cameron ground metal. Dad cut floor.

Installed cross member. Car was stretched to fit door.

Cut firewall and installed right frame rail.

Cameron ground more metal.

Rear cross member was prepared.

Day 5 (November 27, 2009) 

Began making decisions about roll bar placement.

Unbolted leaf springs in back. Had to cut them out in the front because bolts would not come out.

Cameron removed driveshaft, emergency brake line, and steering column mount.

Calvin removed lines under car.

Rear end was removed.

Calvin drilled out convertible top body anchors and trim fasteners down side of car.

Dad tacked ends on rear end.

Worked on roll bar.
