Day 101 (September 6, 2010)

Pulled center section from coupe and installed pressed lugs out of axle and repressed at 4.5” bolt circle. 

Assembled rear. Blasted backing plates. Sean and Aaron mounted 14” tires for front. Removed exhaust so 2 areas could be clearanced. 

Day 102 (September 7, 2010)

Fabricated transmission cross member. 

Extended 5” tail pipe about 1”. 

Made drive shaft loop.

Installed exhaust and all gaskets. 

Day 103 (September 8, 2010)

Pulled shifter from coupe and installed into MGB. 

Cut the bolts for the springs, pan hard bar, and all 3 links. Made spacers. Welded quick release and steering coupler. Tim worked on patterns for radiator support. 

Day 104 (September 9, 2010)

Fabricated steering wheel/column support. 

Made push rod for master cylinder.

Fabricated alternator brackets.

Day 105 (September 10, 2010)

Fuel pump support fabricated. 

Finished fabricating alternator bracket. 

Fuel lines mocked up. 

Tim finished drilling the 58 lightening holes in the fuel cell support. 

Mom disassembled, cleaned, painted and reassembled the fuel filter.
