Day 81 (August 11, 2010)

Left rear fender lip was finished.

Blended both rocker sills. 

Filled holes in cowl.

Patched holes in right rear fender.

Patched hole where original gas tank filler neck was.

Patched hole in right front inner fender.

Filled front pan.

Capped right rocker. Patched and cleaned right inner rocker. 

Fabricated pan hard bar frame mount gusset.

Made parachute mount.

Finished cell mount.

Welded on hood pin tabs. Blended metal under hood and under car.

Finished roll cage.

Rolled car out of barn.

Took car to John's for body work and paint.

Day 82 (August 12, 2010)

John did the bond-o work on the tub.

Day 83 (August 13, 2010)

Began brainstorming ideas for hood scoop with tops of extra MGB fenders. 

Finished welding up exhaust. 

Strengthened pan hard bar rear end mount. 

Strengthened both shock mounts on rear end. 

John continued bond-o work. 

Welded into place a vent hole, a fill port, and a drain. 

John finished bond-o work.

Day 84 (August 14, 2010)

Sand blasted the front cross member and lower control arms. 

Made hole jig for front cross member. 

John painted top of car with primer. 

Flipped car over. 

Cut off the front cross member mounts and lowered 1 inch. 

Drilled 4 inch holes in front cross member for easier access. 

John painted the bottom of the car with primer. 

Strengthened and clearanced trunk lid at mounting pin locations. 

John painted the bottom of the car ford tractor blue. 

Day 85 (August 15, 2010)

John painted the underside of the trunk lid.

Flipped car back over and attached to rotiserie.

Dad cleaned parts from front suspension.

Painted front suspension parts and rear end.

John painted the car blue.

Brought the car back home.
